Fall 2008 Patrol Update
Posted September 27, 2008

We contributed 412 hours of service bringing our 12 year total to 4,668 hours. That's pretty darn impressive. Plus, we had a number of great fun rides, including riding Little Raven and SSV in the pouring rain. Man, we're we dirty.

A big thanks to BikeSource for their continued support of the Patrol; their eighth year! With their generous support of tubes, patch kits and water bottles, it makes it easy for us to put a smile on the face of a trail user in need. You know what we're talking about. Bailing out that rider with a flat, no spares and miles from the car always makes them smile. Thanks to Bob Copeland, Hans, Matt and the rest of the gang at BikeSource. We couldn't do it without you.

Also, thanks to the U.S. Forest Service for welcoming us back year after year. We are so fortunate to have an area like Buffalo Creek as a playground and for the folks that manage it. Thanks as always to Scott Dollus for his continued support and to Christopher Jones. He's the behind the scenes guy who makes sure the trails are free of downed snags, that new trail signs are being installed and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Last but certainly not least, thanks to you. You are what makes the Patrol work and you make it very easy for us. You sign up for dates in the beginning of the season, show up and patrol when scheduled and have fun along the way. We've said it before and we'll continue to say it, you are the best group of volunteers that we have ever worked with and are thankful to have you as members of the Front Range MTB Patrol. Your dedication to and support of the patrol is unparalleled and we hope to see you again next season. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

While the patrol season is over, the riding season is not. If you're ever looking for somebody to ride with, feel free to drop us a line. We usually ride every Sunday and welcome all comers.

Some people think that the number 13 is unlucky, but not us. Our 13th season will be here before you know it and we're looking forward to it. Until then, thank you for another successful season.
